恭讀聖路加福音 4:38-44
那時候,耶穌從會堂裏出來,進了西滿的家。西滿的岳母正發高熱,他們為他祈求耶穌。耶穌就走到他身邊,叱退熱症,熱症就離開了她;她立刻起來服侍他們。日落後,眾人把所有患各種病症的,都領到他跟前,他就把手覆在每一個人身上,治好了他們。又有些從許多人身上出來的魔鬼吶喊說:「你是天主子!」他便叱責他們,不許他們說話,因為他們知道他是默西亞。天一亮,耶穌就出去到了荒野地方;群眾就尋找他,一直來到他那裏,挽留他不要離開他們,他卻向他們說:「我也必須向別的城傳報天主國的喜訊,因為我被派遣,正是為了這事。」他就常在猶太的各會堂中宣講。

And the people sought him and came to him, and would have kept him from leaving them; 43 but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; for I was sent for this purpose.” 44 And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

那時候,耶穌下到加里肋亞的葛法翁城,就在安息日教訓人。人都十分驚奇他的教訓,因為他的話具有一種權威。在會堂裏有一個附著邪魔惡鬼的人,他大聲喊叫說:「啊!納匝肋人耶穌,我們與你有什麼相干?你來毀滅我們嗎?我知道你是誰:你是天主的聖者。」耶穌叱責他說:「不要作聲!從這人身上出去!」魔鬼把那人摔倒在人中間,便從他身上出去了,絲毫沒有傷害他。遂有一種驚駭籠罩了眾人,他們彼此談論說:「這是什麼事,他用權柄和能力命令邪魔,而他們竟出去了?」他的名聲便傳遍了附近各地。

What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm. 36 And they were all amazed and said to one another, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” 37 And reports of him went out into every place in the surrounding region.

那時,耶穌用比喻對司祭長和民間長老說:「天國好比一個國王,為自己的兒子辦婚宴。他打發僕人去召被請的人來赴婚宴,他們卻不願意來。他又派其他的僕人去,說:你們對被請的人說:看,我已經預備好了我的盛宴,我的公牛和肥畜都宰殺了,一切都齊備了,你們來赴婚宴吧!他們卻不理:有的往自己的田裏去了,有的作自己的生意去了;其餘的竟然把僕人抓住,辱後又把他們殺了。君王大怒,發兵去誅滅了這些殺人兇手,並焚燒了他們的城市。然後他對僕人說:『婚筵已齊備了,但被邀請者都不配,你們到路上口去,不論遇到誰全部都請赴宴。』那些僕人出去,到大路上,把遇到的人,好人壞人全都叫了進來,婚宴廳中坐滿了客人。
君王進來,觀看客人時,發覺那裏有一個人沒有穿禮服,就對他說:『朋友,你到這裏來,怎麼不穿婚宴禮服呢?』這人默默不語。君王對僕人說:『把他手足綁起來,扔到外面黑暗中去,在那裏要有哀號和切齒。』因為被召的人多,被選的人少。」

1 And again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying, 2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a marriage feast for his son,3 and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast;but they would not come. 4 Again he sent other servants, saying, `Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have made ready my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves are killed, and everything is ready; come to the marriage feast.’ 5 But they made light of it and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, 6 while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. 7 The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, `The wedding is ready, but those invited were not worthy. 9 Go therefore to the thoroughfares, and invite to the marriage feast as many as you find.’ 10 And those servants went out into the streets and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment; 12 and he said to him, `Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, `Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.’ 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.”

那時,耶穌給門徒講了這個比喻:「天國好像一個家主,清晨出去為自己的葡萄園僱工人。他與工人議定一天一個「德納」,就派他們到葡萄園裏去了。約在第三時辰,他又出去,看見另有些人在街市上閒立著,就對他們說:你們也到我的葡萄園裏去吧!凡照公義該給的,我必給你們。他們就去了。約在第六和第九時辰,他又出去,也照樣作了。約在第十一時辰,他又出去,看見還有些人站在那裏,就對他們說:為什麼你們站在這裏整天閒著?他們對他說:因為沒有人僱我們。他對他們說:你們也到我的葡萄園裏去吧!到了晚上,葡萄園的主人對他的管事人說:你叫工人來,分給他們工資,由最後的開始,直至最先的。那些約在第十一時辰來的人,每人領了一個「德納」。那些最先僱的前來,心想自己必會多領;但他們也只領了一個「德納」。他們一領了,就抱怨家主,說:這些最後僱的人,不過工作了一個時辰,而你竟把他們與我們這整天受苦受熱的,同等看待。他答覆其中的一個說:朋友!我並沒有虧負你,你不是和我議定了一個「德納」嗎?拿你的走吧!我願意給這最後來的和給你的一樣。難道不許我拿我所有的財物,行我所願意的嗎?或是因為我好,你就眼紅嗎?這樣,最後的將成為最先的,最先的將成為最後的。」

Or do you begrudge my generosity?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last.”

瑪利亞就在那幾日起身,急速往山區去,到了猶大的一座城。她進入匝加利亞的家,就向依撒伯爾請安。依撒伯爾一聽到瑪利亞請安,胎兒就在她腹中歡躍。依撒伯爾於是充滿了聖神,高聲說:「在女人中,妳是蒙祝福的,妳的胎兒,也是蒙祝福的。我主的母親,駕臨我這裡,這是我那裡得來的呢?看,妳請安的聲音,一入我耳,胎兒就在我腹中,歡喜踴躍。那信了由上主傳於她的話,必要完成的,是有福的。」瑪利亞於是說:「我的靈魂頌揚上主,我的心神歡躍於天主,我的救主,因為祂垂顧了祂婢女的卑微,今後萬世萬代都要稱我有福;因全能者在我身上,行了大事,祂的名字是聖的,祂的仁慈世世代代於無窮世,賜與敬畏祂的人。「祂伸出了手臂,施展大能,驅散那些心高氣傲的人。祂從高座上,推下權勢者,卻舉揚了卑微貧困的人。祂曾使飢餓者,飽饗美物,反使那富有者,空手而去。「祂曾回憶起自己的仁慈,扶助了祂的僕人以色列,正如祂向我們祖先所說過的恩許,施恩於亞巴郎和他的子孫,直到永遠。」瑪利亞同依撒伯爾,住了三個月左右,就回家去了。

39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, 40 and she entered the house of Zechari’ah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” 46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; 49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, 52 he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; 53 he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, 55 as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever.” 56 And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her home.

那時候,有些法利塞人來到耶穌跟前,試探他說:「許不許人為了任何緣故,休自己的妻子呢?」他回答說:「你們沒有念過,那創造者自起初就造了他們——男和女;且說:『為此,人要離開父親和母親,依附自己的妻子,兩人成為一體』的話嗎?這樣,他們不是兩個,而是一體了。為此,凡天主所結合的,人不可拆散。」他們對他說:「那麼,為什麼梅瑟還吩咐人下休書休妻呢?」耶穌對他們說:「梅瑟為了你們的心硬,才准許你們休妻;但起初並不是這樣。如今我對你們說﹕無論誰休妻﹐除非因為姘居﹐而另娶一個﹐他就是犯奸淫;凡娶被休的,也是犯奸淫。」門徒對他說﹕「人同妻子的關係﹐如果是這樣﹐倒不如不娶的好。」耶穌對他們說:「這話不是人人所能領悟的,只有那些得了恩賜的人,才能領悟。因為有些閹人,從母胎生來就是這樣;有些閹人,是被人閹的;有些閹人,卻是為了天國,而自閹的。能領悟的,就領悟吧!」

What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” 8 He said to them, “For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery.” 10 The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry.” 11 But he said to them, “Not all men can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given. 12 For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to receive this, let him receive it.”

那時,伯多祿前來對耶穌說:「主啊!若我的弟兄得罪了我,我該寬恕他多少次?直至七次嗎?」耶穌對他說:「我不對你說:直到七次,而是到七十個七次。為此天國好比一個君王,要同他的僕人算賬。他開始算賬的時候,給他送來了一個欠他一萬「塔冷通」的,因為他沒有可還的,主人就下令,要他把自己和妻子兒女,以及他所有的一切,都變賣來還債。那僕人就俯伏在地叩拜他說:主啊!容忍我吧!一切我都要還給你。那僕人的主人就動心把他釋放了,並且也免了他的債。但那僕人正出去時,遇見了一個欠他一百「德納」的同伴,他就抓住他,扼住他的喉嚨說:還你欠的債!他的同伴就俯伏在地哀求他說:容忍我吧!我必還給你。可是他不願意,且把他關在監裏,直到他還清了欠債。他的同伴見到所發生的事,非常悲憤,遂去把所發生的一切告訴了主人。於是主人把那僕人叫來,對他說:惡僕!因為你哀求了我,我就免了你那一切的債;難道你不該憐憫你的同伴,如同我憐憫了你一樣嗎?他的主人大怒,遂把他交給刑役,直到他還清所欠的一切。如果你們不各自從心裏寬恕自己的弟兄,我的天父也要這樣對待你們。」
耶穌講完這些話以後,就離開加里肋亞,來到約旦對岸的猶太境內。

As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.23 “Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants. 24 When he began the reckoning, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents; 25 and as he could not pay, his lord ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, `Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’ 27 And out of pity for him the lord of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. 28 But that same servant, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and seizing him by the throat he said, `Pay what you owe.’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down and besought him, `Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ 30 He refused and went and put him in prison till he should pay the debt. 31 When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place. 32 Then his lord summoned him and said to him, `You wicked servant! 那時,耶穌對門徒說:「如果你的弟兄得罪了你,去,要在你和他獨處的時候,規勸他,如果他聽從了你,你便賺得了你的兄弟;但他如果不聽,你就另帶上一個或兩個人,為叫任何事情,憑兩個或三個見證人的口供,得以成立。若是他仍不聽從他們,你要告訴教會;如果他連教會也不聽從,你就將他看作外教人或稅吏。我實在告訴你們:凡你們在地上所束縛的,在天上也要被束縛;凡你們在地上所釋放的,在天上也要被釋放。我實在告訴你們:若你們中有兩個人,在地上同心合意,無論為什麼事祈禱,我在天之父,必要給他們成就,因為那裏有兩個或三個人,因我的名字聚在一起,我就在他們中間。

恭讀聖瑪竇福音 17:22-27
當耶穌同門徒在加里肋亞周遊時,耶穌對他們說:「人子將被交於人們手中。他們要殺害他,第三天他必要復活。」門徒就非常憂鬱。
他們來到葛法翁時,收殿稅的人來對伯多祿跟前說:「你們的師傅不納殿稅嗎?」伯多祿說:「當然納稅。」他一進到屋裏,耶穌就先對他說:「西滿!你以為怎樣?地上的君王向誰徵收關稅或丁稅呢?向自己的兒子,或是向外人?」伯多祿說:「向外人。」耶穌對他說:「所以兒子是免稅的了。但是,為避免冒犯他們,你往海邊去垂釣,拿釣上來的第一條魚,開了它的口,就會找到一塊「斯塔特」。拿去交給他們,當作我和你的殿稅。」

From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?” 26 And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. 27 However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook, and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel; take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”

那時候,耶穌對門徒說:「你們小小的羊群,不要害怕!因為你們的父,喜歡把天國賜給你們。「要變賣你們所有的,來施捨,為你們自己準備不朽的錢囊,在天上準備取用不盡的寶藏;在那裡,盜賊不能走近,蠹蟲也不能損壞,因為你們的寶藏在那裡,你們的心,也必在那裡。「你們要束上腰,點著燈;應當如同僕人,等候自己的主人,由婚宴回來,為的是主人來到,一敲門,就立刻給他開門。主人來到時,所遇見醒寤著的那些僕人,是有福的。我實在告訴你們:主人要束上腰,請他們入席,自己親自伺候他們。主人二更來也罷,三更來也罷,他所遇見醒寤著的僕人,是有福的。「你們應該明白這一點:如果家主知道盜賊何時要來,【他必要醒寤,】決不容許自己的房屋被挖穿。你們也應當準備,因為在你們料想不到的時辰,人子就來了。」伯多祿說:「主,你講這個比喻,是為我們呢,還是為眾人?」主說:「究竟誰是忠信及精明的管家?不是那受主人委派,管理自己的家僕,按時分配食糧的人嗎?主人回來時,看見他如此行事,那僕人才是有福的。我實在告訴你們:主人必要委派他,管理自己的一切財產。如果那個僕人心裡說:我的主人必會遲來;他便開始拷打僕婢,也吃也喝也醉酒。在他料想不到的日子,不知覺的時刻,那僕人的主人就會來到,必要剷除他,使他與不信的人,遭受同樣的命運。「那知道主人的旨意,而偏偏不作準備,或竟然不奉行他旨意的僕人,必然要多受拷打;那不知道,而做了該受拷打之事的,要少受拷打。給誰的多,向誰要的也多;交託誰的多,向誰索取的也格外多。」

32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

35 “Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the marriage feast, so that they may open to him at once when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes; truly, I say to you, he will gird himself and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants! 39 But know this, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. 40 You also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an unexpected hour.”

41 Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for all?” 42 And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. 44 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says to himself, `My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will punish him, and put him with the unfaithful. 47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, but did not make ready or act according to his will, shall receive a severe beating. 48 But he who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, shall receive a light beating. Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more.

恭讀聖瑪竇福音 17:14-20
那時候,有一個人來到耶穌跟前,跪下,說:「主啊!可憐我的兒子吧!他患癲病很苦,屢次跌在火中,又屢次跌在水裏。我把他帶到你的門徒跟前,他們卻不能治好他。」耶穌回答說:「哎!無信敗壞的世代,我同你們在一起要到幾時呢?我容忍你們要到幾時呢?把他給我帶到我這裏來!」耶穌遂叱責魔鬼,魔鬼就從孩子身上出去了;從那時刻,孩子就好了。
以後,門徒前來私下對耶穌說:「為什麼我們不能逐出這魔鬼呢?」耶穌對他們說:「由於你們缺少信德;我實在告訴你們:假如你們有像芥子那麼大的信德,你們向這座山說:從這邊移到那邊去!它必會移過去的;為你們沒有不可能的事。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 17:14-20

14 And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and kneeling before him said, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly; for often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. 16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him.” 17 And Jesus answered, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”

那時候,耶穌帶著伯多祿、若望和雅各伯,上山祈禱。正當耶穌祈禱時,祂的面容改變,祂的衣服潔白發光。忽然,有兩個人,即梅瑟和厄里亞,同祂談話。他們顯現在光耀中,談論耶穌的去世,即祂在耶路撒冷,必要完成的事。伯多祿和他的同伴,都昏昏欲睡。他們一醒,就看見耶穌的光耀,及在耶穌旁邊侍立的兩個人。那兩個人正要離開時,伯多祿對耶穌說:「老師,我們在這裡真好!讓我們搭三個帳棚:一個為祢,一個為梅瑟,一個為厄里亞。」他原來不知道要說什麼。伯多祿說這話的時候,有一片雲彩遮蔽了耶穌、梅瑟和厄里亞。他們進入雲彩時,門徒就害怕起來。從雲中有聲音說:「這是我的兒子,我所揀選的,你們要聽從祂!」這聲音發出後,只見耶穌獨自一人。在那些日子,他們都守了秘密,把所見的事,一點也沒有告訴任何人。

28 Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 And as he was praying, the appearance of his countenance was altered, and his raiment became dazzling white. 30 And behold, two men talked with him, Moses and Eli’jah, 31 who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was to accomplish at Jerusalem. 32 Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, and when they wakened they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him. 33 And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is well that we are here; let us make three booths, one for you and one for Moses and one for Eli’jah” — not knowing what he said. 34 As he said this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!” 36 And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silence and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.
