恭讀聖若望福音　19:25-27

那時候，在耶穌的十字架旁，站著他的母親和他母親的姊妹，還有克羅帕的妻子瑪利亞和瑪利亞瑪達肋納。耶穌看見母親，又看見他所愛的門徒站在旁邊，就對母親說：「女人，看，你的兒子！」然後，又對那門徒說：「看，你的母親！」就從那時起，那門徒把她接到自己家裏。

恭讀聖路加福音　2:33-35

那時候，耶穌的父親和母親對西默盎關於耶穌所說的話，感到驚異。西默盎祝福了他們，又向他的母親瑪利亞說：「看，這孩子已被立定，為使以色列中許多人跌倒和復興，並成為反對的記號——至於你，要有一把利劍刺透你的心靈——為叫許多人心中的思念顯露出來。」
