瑪8：28-34 (其他經文──創21：5, 8-20 詠34)
耶穌來到對岸加達辣人的地方，有兩個附魔的人從墳墓裡走出，向他走來；他們異常兇猛，以致沒有人能從那條路上經過。他們喊說：「天主子，我們與你有什麼相干？時期還沒有到，你就來這裡苦害我們嗎？」離他們很遠，有一大群豬正在牧放。魔鬼懇求耶穌說：「你若驅逐我們，就趕我們進入豬群吧！」耶穌對他們說：「去吧！」魔鬼就出來進入豬內；忽然全群豬從山崖上直衝入海，死在水裡。放豬的便逃走，來到城裡，把這一切和附魔人的事都報告了。全城的人就出來會見耶穌，一見了他，就求他離開他們的地方。

那時候，耶穌來到了斐理伯的凱撒勒雅境內，就問門徒說：「人們說人子是誰？」他們說：「有人說是洗者若翰；有人說是厄里亞；也有人說是耶肋米亞，或先知中的一位。」耶穌對他們說：「你們說我是誰？」西滿伯多祿回答說：「你是默西亞，永生天主之子。」耶穌回答他說：「約納的兒子西滿，你是有福的，因為不是肉和血啟示了你，而是我在天之父。我再給你說：你是伯多祿（磐石），在這磐石上，我要建立我的教會，陰間的門決不能戰勝她。我要將天國的鑰匙交給你：凡你在地上所束縛的，在天上也要被束縛；凡你在地上所釋放的，在天上也要被釋放。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 16:13-19
13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesare’a Philip’pi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音 5:21-43
那時，耶穌乘船渡回對岸，有大夥群眾聚集在他周圍；他遂留在海濱。那時，來了一個會堂長，名叫雅依洛，一見耶穌，就跪伏在他腳前，懇切求他說：「我的小女兒快要死了，請你來，給她覆手，叫她康復回生。」耶穌就同他去了。有一大群人跟隨著他，擁擠著他。
那時，有一個婦人，患血漏已有十二年。她在許多醫生手裡，受了許多痛苦，花盡了自己所有的一切，不但沒有見效，反而病勢更加重了。她聽了有關耶穌的傳說，便來到人群中，從後邊摸了耶穌的衣裳，因為她心裡想：「我只要一摸他的衣裳，必然會好的。」她的血源立刻涸止了，並且覺得身上的疾病也好了。耶穌立時覺得有一種能力從自己身上出去，就在人群中回過頭來說：「誰摸了我的衣裳？」他的門徒向他說：「你看！群眾四面擁擠著你，你還問誰摸了我？」
耶穌四周觀望，要看作這事的婦人。那婦人明知在自己身上所成的事，就戰戰兢兢地前來，跪伏在耶穌前，把實情完全告訴了他。耶穌便向她說：「女兒，你的信德救了你，平安去罷！你的疾病必得痊癒！」
他還說話的時候，有人從會堂長家裡來，說：「你的女兒死了，你還煩勞師傅做什麼？」耶穌聽見所說的話，就給會堂長說：「不要怕，只管信。」
除伯多祿、雅各伯和雅各伯的弟弟若望外，他沒有讓任何人跟他去。他們到了會堂長的家裡，耶穌看見群眾非常喧噪：有的哭泣，有的哀號，便進去，給他們說：「你們為什麼喧噪哭泣呢？小女孩並沒有死，只是睡著了！」他們都譏笑他。他卻把眾人趕出去，帶著小女孩的父親和母親，及同他在一起的人，進了小女孩所在的地方。他拿起小女孩的手，對她說：「塔里塔，古木！」意思是：「女孩子，我命你起來！」那女孩子就立刻起來行走，原來她已十二歲了；他們都驚訝得目瞪口呆。耶穌卻嚴厲命令他們，不要叫任何人知道這事；又吩咐給女孩子東西吃。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 5:21-43
21 And when Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd gathered about him; and he was beside the sea. 22 Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Ja’irus by name; and seeing him, he fell at his feet, 23 and besought him, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well, and live.” 24 And he went with him. And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. 25 And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. 27 She had heard the reports about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. 28 For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.”29 And immediately the hemorrhage ceased; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30 And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone forth from him, immediately turned about in the crowd, and said, “Who touched my garments?” 31 And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, `Who touched me?’” 32 And he looked around to see who had done it. 33 But the woman, knowing what had been done to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
35 While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” 36 But ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.” 37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, he saw a tumult, and people weeping and wailing loudly. 39 And when he had entered, he said to them, “Why do you make a tumult and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping.” 40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside, and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Tal’itha cu’mi”; which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”42 And immediately the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement. 43 And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.

瑪8：23-27 (其他經文──創19：15-29 詠26)
耶穌上了船，他的門徒跟隨著他。忽然海裡起了大震盪，以致那船為浪所掩蓋，耶穌卻睡著了。他們遂前來喚醒他說：「主！救命啊！我們要喪亡了！」耶穌對他們說：「小信德的人啊！你們為什麼膽怯？」就起來叱責風和海，遂大為平靜。那些人驚訝說：「這是怎樣的一個人？竟連風和海也聽從他！」

那時候，耶穌進了葛法翁，有一位百夫長前來到他跟前，求他說：「主！我的僕人癱瘓了，躺在家裏，疼痛得很厲害。」耶穌對他說：「我去治好他。」百夫長答說：「主！我不堪當你到我舍下來，你只要說一句話，我的僕人就會好的。因為我雖是屬人權下的人，但是我也有士兵屬我權下；我對這個說：你去，他就去；對另一個說：你來，他就來；我對奴僕說：你作這個，他就作。」耶穌聽了，非常詫異，就對跟隨的人說：「我實在告訴你們：在以色列我從未遇見過一個人，有這樣大的信心。我給你們說：將有許多人從東方和西方來，同亞巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯在天國裏一起坐席；本國的子民；反而被驅逐到外邊黑暗裏；那裏有哀號和切齒。」耶穌遂對百夫長說：「你回去，就照你所信的，給你成就吧！」僕人就在那時刻痊愈了。
耶穌來到伯多祿家裏，看見伯多祿的岳母躺著發燒，就摸了她的手，熱症就從她身上退了。她便起來伺候他。到了晚上，人們給他送來了許多附魔的人，他一句話就驅逐了惡神；治好了一切有病的人。這樣，就應驗了那藉依撒意亞先知所說的話：「他承受我們的脆弱，擔荷了我們的疾病。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 8:5-17
5 As he entered Caper’naum, a centurion came forward to him, beseeching him 6 and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, in terrible distress.” 7 And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8 But the centurion answered him, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, `Go,’ and he goes, and to another, `Come,’ and he comes, and to my slave, `Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard him, he marveled, and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such faith. 11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and sit at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.” 13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; be it done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment. 14 And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever; 15 he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and served him. 16 That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. 17 This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
