恭讀聖路加福音 11:29-32
群眾集合攏來的時候，耶穌開始說：「這一世代是一邪惡的世代：它要求徵兆，除了約納的徵兆外，必不給它任何其他徵兆。因為，有如約納為尼尼微人是個徵兆， 將來人子為這一世代也是這樣。南方的女王，在審判時，將同這一代人起來，定他們的罪，因為她從地極來，聽撒羅滿的智慧；看，這裏有一位大於撒羅滿的！尼尼 微人在審判時，將同這一代人起來，定他們的罪，因為尼尼微人因了約納的宣講而悔改了；看，這裏有一位大於約納的！

—這是基督的福音。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 11:29-32

29 When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, “This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign shall be given to it  except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah became a sign to the men of Nin’eveh, so will the Son of man be to this generation. 31 The queen of the South will arise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to  hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nin’eveh will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.

默　想

• 耶穌說：這是一個邪惡的世代。當然，我們會說，今時今日，會比耶穌的世代更邪惡，因為我們現在親身感受這邪惡。但是，耶穌也是親身感受啊，我們也不能抹煞耶穌的感受。
• 這只能夠說明，二千年來，人類在科技上大有進步，在道德上卻沒什麼進步。
• 但是，耶穌降世的目的，就是要我們成義，在道德上進步，只要一日我們的世代仍然邪惡，耶穌的救世大業仍未完成！那我們要怎麼做？
• 首先是由自己做起！只要你成為一個有道德的人，這世界便少了一個邪惡的因子。

恭讀聖瑪竇福音 6:7-15
那時候，耶穌對他的門徒說：「你們祈禱時，不要勞勞叨叨，如同外邦人一樣，他們以為只要多言，便可獲得垂允。你們不要跟他們一樣，因為你們的父，在你們求 他以前。已知道你們需要什麼。所以，你們應當這樣祈禱：我們在天之父！願你的名被尊為聖，願你的國來臨，願你的旨意承行於地，如在天上一樣。我們的日用 糧，求你今天賜給我們；寬免我們的罪債，猶如我們也寬免得罪我們的人；不要讓我們陷入誘惑，但救我們免於凶惡。因為你們若寬免別人的過犯，你們的天父也必 寬免你們的；但你們若不寬免別人的，你們的父也必不寬免你們的過犯。」

—這是基督的福音。

Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread; 12 And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; 13 And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. 14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; 15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
