恭讀聖若望福音　10:31-42

那時候，猶太人又拿起石頭來，要砸死耶穌。耶穌向他們說：「我賴我父給你們顯示了許多善事，為了那一件，你們要砸死我呢？」猶太人回答說：「為了善事，我們不會砸死你，而是為了褻瀆的話，因為你是人，卻把你自己當作天主。」耶穌卻向他們說：「在你們的法律上不是記載著：『我說過：你們是神』麼？如果，那些蒙受天主話的，天主尚且稱他們為神——而經書是不能廢棄的——那麼，父所祝聖並派遣到世界上來的，因為說過：我是天主子，你們就說：你說褻瀆的話麼？假使我不作我父的工作，你們就不必信我，但若是我作了，你們縱然不肯信我，至少要信這些工作，如此你們必定認出父在我內，我在父內。」他們又企圖捉拿他，他卻從他們手中走脫了。

耶穌又回到約旦河對岸，若翰先前施洗的地方去了，並住在那裡。有許多人來到他那裡說：「若翰固然沒有行過神蹟，但苦翰對於這人所說的一切，都是真的。」許多人就在那裡信了耶穌。

31 The Jews took up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of these do you stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we stone you but for blasphemy; because you, being a man, make yourself God.” 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, `I said, you are Gods’? 35 If he called them Gods to whom the word of God came (and scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, `You are blaspheming,’ because I said, `I am the Son of God’? 37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands. 40 He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John at first baptized, and there he remained. 41 And many came to him; and they said, “John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.” 42 And many believed in him there.

ASIA/CHINA – Chinese pilgrimage to Saint Joseph Shrine on Mount Pin Yin begins

Ping Tin Shan (Agenzia Fides) – During the month of March, a month dedicated to Saint Joseph according to Catholic tradition, the Chinese shrine to this saint on Mount Pin Yin, in the province of Shan Dong, is receiving pilgrims who arrive from all over China. The Chinese have a special devotion to the Saint, not only because he was the foster father of Jesus and the spouse of Mary, but also because he is the Patron of the Mission in China, symbol of humility, simplicity, authenticity, diligence, and obedience…all of which are considered as the highest values in the Chinese culture and tradition.
For generations, the Chinese Catholics have fostered this fervent devotion to Saint Joseph. According to the lay person in charge of the visitor’s office at the Shrine, “we receive large crowds of pilgrims every day…Catholics as well as tourists who come simply to see this beautiful mountain. The other mountains in the area are no longer forested, but our shrine is always surrounded by greenery. I’m not trying to claim a miracle; in any case, the people come to pay homage to the Saint. Our community is also offering an increasingly more mature and prepared evangelization, and this has also contributed to an increase in visitors, especially young people. Whether its on the Stations of the Cross walk or the Church at the peak of the mountain, pilgrims off all ages fill the area during this time of the year.”
According to a local priest from the area, “the life of this Saint, lived in silent dedication and service, makes us feel his presence very close to us. He is also the patron of a good death. The Chinese culture and tradition have a great respect for these aspects of life and death, so the Chinese faithful have a great affection for him.” This close tie is evident in China, as there are many Churches named after Saint Joseph, as well as Church buildings, seminaries, national and diocesan religious congregations, charitable organizations, orphanages, houses for the elderly, and schools. 默　想──Ø　連續幾天，都是猶太人不接受耶穌的真實身分，耶穌的本體是神。可以看出，這個民族十分重視他們的宗教，可以為了如此形而上的問題而殺人。
Ø　相反，我們今天不會殺人，但會的是，「殺人」不見血。我們為什麼而「殺人」呢？當然是為金錢、利益、權勢的了。
Ø　若關注宗教、形而上（等於永生）的東西是更為有福的話，那麼，猶太人雖然走錯路，但他們明顯地比我們現代人有福，因為他們真的關心他們的永生，而我們只是為錢死而已！

Chiara Lubich Admitted for Breathing Difficulties

VATICAN CITY, MARCH 12, 2008 (Zenit.org). – Benedict XVI sent a message of encouragement to Chiara Lubich, the founder of the Focolare movement, who has been hospitalized in the Rome’s Gemelli Polyclinic.

According to a press statement released today by the Focolare movement, Lubich, 88, arrived to the hospital in February for a scheduled checkup, but stayed due to breathing difficulties.

According to professor Salvatore Valente, chair of the Division of Respiratory Physiology at the clinic, the founder’s breathing is insufficient and she has been put on an artificial respirator. “For the moment,” he said, “a tendency to recuperate breathing on her own has not appeared.”

Benedict XVI sent “a special blessing” in his letter to Lubich, said the press release.

The Pope said, “I am keeping informed of the trials you are going through and I hope to assure you in this difficult moment that I am remembering you in my prayers so that the Lord gives you physical relief, spiritual consolation, and shows you signs of his benevolence, allowing you to experience the redemptive value of the suffering lived in profound communion with him.”

The communiqué reported that Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople visited Lubich, living with her a moment “rich in spirituality and of profound communion.”

The patriarch was in Rome last week to visit Benedict XVI and to mark to mark the 90th anniversary of the Pontifical Oriental Institute.

The patriarch said after visiting Lubich: “I wanted to come to deliver my personal greeting, and that of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, to the beloved Chiara Lubich, who has given and continues to give to the whole Church. I also imparted to her my blessing. I am happy that I was able to visit her.”

Lubich was also visited by Cardinal Miloslav Vlk, archbishop of Prague, and Andrea Riccardi, founder of the Catholic lay Community of Sant’Egidio.

Say Vatican Didn’t Publish List of 7 Modern Misdeeds

LONDON, MARCH 11, 2008 (Zenit.org).- Reports that the Vatican has published a new list of the seven deadly sins of modern times that includes littering and economic inequality is simply not true, affirmed the episcopal conference of England and Wales.

The conference released a statement today clarifying that an interview published Sunday by L’Osservatore Romano with Bishop Gianfranco Girotti, regent of the tribunal of he Apostolic Penitentiary, was misinterpreted in the media as an official Vatican update to the seven deadly sins, laid out by Pope Gregory the Great in the sixth century.

“The Vatican has not published a new list of seven deadly sins; this is not a new Vatican edict,” said the conference. “The story originated from an interview that Bishop Gianfranco Girotti gave to the L’Osservatore Romano in which he was questioned about new forms of social sins in this age of globalization.”

The Vatican newspaper interviewed the bishop at the conclusion of a course that took place last week on the “internal forum” — questions of conscience — organized by the tribunal of the Apostolic Penitentiary to strengthen the training of priests in administering the sacrament of confession.In the interview titled “Le Nuove Forme del Peccato Sociale” (The New Forms of Social Sin), journalist Nicola Gori asked the prelate what he thought are the new sins of the modern era.

Bishop Girotti responded: “There are various areas in which today we can see sinful attitudes in relation to individual and social rights.

“Above all in the area of bioethics, in which we cannot fail to denounce certain violations of the fundamental rights of human nature, by way of experiments, genetic manipulation, the effects of which are difficult to prevent and control.”

“Another area, a social issue, is the issue of drug use, which debilitates the psyche and darkens the intelligence, leaving many youth outside the ecclesial circuit.”

The bishop also mentioned social inequality, “by which the poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer, feeding an unsustainable social injustice,” and the “area of ecology.”

VATICAN – Youth from the Diocese of Rome accompany the Pope towards 23rd World Youth Day

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – In the Angelus on March 9, the Holy Father invited the youth of Rome to a liturgical Penance Service in preparation for World Youth Day, to be celebrated on a diocesan level on Palm Sunday. He told them, “This Thursday, March 13, at 5:30pm, I will preside a Penance Service in the Basilica of Saint Peter for the youth of the Diocese of Rome. It will be an opportunity for intense preparation for the 23rd World Youth Day that we will celebrate on Palm Sunday, and that will culminate in the great encounter this July in Sydney. Dear young people of Rome, I invite you all to this encounter with the Mercy of God! I ask that the priests and those who work to promote youth participation, make their own, the words of the apostle Paul, “We are, therefore, ambassadors of Christ…In the name of Christ we ask you: Reconcile yourselves with God!” (2 Cor 5:20)
“’You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses,” (Acts 1:8) is the theme chosen by Benedict XVI for the 23rd World Youth Day that will take place in Sydney, July 15-20, and it is also the theme for the preparatory activities being organized on a diocesan level. The parishes, movements, and youth associations of the Diocese of Rome are working to prepare the penance service that will be presided by the Holy Father. Together with them, in the Basilica, will be over 200 priests available for hearing confessions. Some young people will have the opportunity to go to confession with the Pope. World Youth Day will be celebrated on Palm Sunday, March 16, with a Solemn Mass presided by the Pope in Saint Peter’s Square at 9:30am. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 11/3/2008 righe 21, parole 297)

那時候，耶穌看見了一個生來瞎眼的人。耶穌的門徒就問耶穌說：「辣彼，誰犯了罪？是他，還是他的父母，竟使他生來瞎眼呢？」
耶穌答覆說：「也不是他犯了罪，也不是他的父母，而是為叫天主的工作，在他身上顯揚出來。趁著白天，我們應該做派遣我來者的工作；黑夜來到，就沒有人能工作了。當我在世界上的時候，我是世界的光。」
耶穌說了這番話以後，便吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和了些泥，把泥抹在瞎子的眼上，對他說：「去，到史羅亞水池裡洗洗吧！」──史羅亞解說「被派遣的」──瞎子去了，洗了，回來就看見了。
於是，鄰居和那些經常見他討飯的人，就說：「這不是那曾坐在這裡討飯的人麼？」有的說：「就是這人，」有的說：「不，是另一個很相似他的人。」那人卻說：「就是我。」
他們問他說：「你的眼睛究竟是怎樣開了的呢？」
他答覆說：「名叫耶穌的那個人，和了些泥，抹在我的眼上，給我說：你往史羅亞去洗洗吧；我去了，洗了，就看見了。」他們又問他說：「那個人在那裡？」他說：「我不知道。」

訊息：

「我的天使，我要安定你們的心，接受我懇求你們的意願和路向。親愛的孩子，我請你們分享的訊息，不因我的名號，亦不因我的地理位置，因為在這些日子中，我只有一個使命，就是把眾心集結在一起，然後藉著奉獻給我的無玷聖心，帶領他們投入我聖子的懷抱。這使命源自天上，我會賜給所有人履行這使命的能力，但我也需要你們的心靈。在我的無玷聖心與它得勝的旗幟下，我希望你把這合一的呼喚，傳送給我的孩子。正如我所要求的，你們現在就聚集起來吧，因為你們不知道，這些日子中，我的心在世上所引起的全球性衝擊。請接受這些我很久以前便想分施給你們的恩寵。我在這裏，是你們的護蔭，不要害怕有這個願望。」93-9-7

引導：

這奉獻是一個真正的心靈的神秘結合，這個結合具有轉化和改過的力量，把深厚的恩寵傾注，使靈魂無法再像許諾前一樣。靈魂將要被義德的洪流淹沒，它被一份熱切盼望取悅天主的心神所包圍，它要為聖子母親那溫柔的渴望鞠躬盡瘁。在這合一的神聖共融中，我們藉著祂母親的心靈，得到保護，為侍奉天主而努力。既然我們都明白祂的王權來自她的心，那就是說，我們正為兩顆聖心的契合而工作。藉著奉獻，我與瑪利亞共結的一顆心，被深深的牽引，到達這神聖的結合的中心去，一個屬神的契合就這樣形成了。雖然我們與她的無玷聖心是結合的，但也得到帶領，去與其他也奉獻給她的人結為一體。這樣，我們透過她慈母的心，分享全人類心靈的結合。
