“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.” (Matthew 13:31) The life of Jesus is the best portrayal of the presence of Heaven. Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.“The time came for Mary to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:6-7) As Jesus was the son of a carpenter, he had no social status: ““Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?” And they took offense at him.” (Matthew 13:54-57) Jesus lived out His life exactly as what the prophet Isaiah predicted about the servant of the Lord: “Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased, Upon whom I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations, Not crying out, not shouting, not making his voice heard in the street. A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoldering wick he shall not quench, until he establishes justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait for his teaching." (Isaiah 42:1-4) Jesus even gives His beloved mother to us: “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.”” (John 19:26-27) In the eyes of mankind, Jesus Christ looks insignificant, but through his sacrifice on the cross, He has redeemed mankind from their sins.
