"But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.” (Matt. 13:16) After Jesus revealed himself to Thomas, he said to him, "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed." Therefore, the real blessed are those who rely in the Lord from the heart. When Andrew met Jesus, he immediately went to inform his brother Peter, saying: “We have found the Messiah”. “Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. He first found his own brother Simon and told him, "We have found the Messiah.” John 1:40-41) Even though John had not met the risen Christ, having only seen the cloth, he already remembered Jesus’ words: “I shall rise in three days”. He saw and believed. “Then the other disciple [John himself] also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed.” (John 20:8) Likewise, Peter’s faith came totally from the Holy Spirit. “When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.” (Matt. 16:13:17) Unless we open our hearts to the Holy Spirit, we would still see but not see, hear but not hear.
