“Let your ‘Yes’ means ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ means ‘No’. Anything more is from the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37) Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Following Jesus, we should pursue His quality of life as our living model. Let us reminisce the moments during the trial of Jesus: Jesus was arrested and led to the front of the Sanhedrin. The high priest asked, “Have you no answer? What are these men testifying against you?” Jesus was silent. The high priest then said to him, “I order you to tell us under oath before the living God whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” Jesus replied, “You have said so. But I tell you: From now on you will see ‘the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power’ and ‘coming on the clouds of heaven.’” (Matthew 26: 62-64) In front of Pontius Pilate the governor: Pilate questioned, "Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus said, "You said so." Then Pilate said to Him, "Do you not hear how many things they are testifying against you?" Jesus did not answer him a single word. Jesus was convicted because He told the truth. He was crucified for admitting Himself as the Son of God. May the Lord grant us courage to say, ‘Yes’ means ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ means ‘No’.
