"If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love." (John 15: 10) ''This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.” (John 15: 12) Jesus' commandment is very simple: love one another. It's not as easier said than done, for we have to love others the way Jesus did: He is willing to lay down his life for his friends. Jesus laid down His life for us! Even though Jesus did not asked us to be martyrs, He asked us to humble ourselves, unite with one another: "may they all be one, as you, Father." The goal of unity: "I am the vine, you are the branches." The way of unity: "Take it; this is my body." Hence, it is not really hard to understand what Jesus has said: "whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me." What Jesus has brought to us, is the knowlegde of the Holy Trinity: the way of loving one another. The Father and the Son have a very close knitted relationship. "All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him." (Matt 11: 27) When we love one another, we are abiding in God.
