“Whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me." (John 13:20) Jesus said these words to His disciples after He washed their feet, He was relating to Judas who would soon betray Him. As well, Jesus spoke these words particularly to Judas, for hoping that he would change his mind. Judas was chosen by Jesus Himself, they had a passionate relationship, and Judas was also the beloved of our Heavenly Father. But Judas’s eyes got deprived by 30 silver coins; he had no room in his heart to care for what Jesus was telling him: “The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.” Jesus took the opportunity to give hope to the rest of His disciples, who were also specially chosen by the Father. Together they had shared the mission of Jesus. Nonetheless, humans are weak. When Peter said to Jesus: “I will lay down my life for you.” Jesus answered: "Will you lay down your life for me? Truly I tell you, before the cock crow, you will deny me three times." But Jesus said further: “Do not let your heart be puzzled; trust in the Lord, and trust in me too!” Truly, we could have accomplished nothing; but we deeply believe that wherever intense the sinfulness are, the more abundance we will see the grace of God.
