On March 25, 1984, Pope John Paul II offered the world and, in particular, Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Pope, during a visit to his homeland, said the following prayer: “Mother of the Church, once again, I consecrate myself to you to be your servant of love: Totus tuus! I am all yours! I consecrate the whole Church to you, wherever she is, to the ends of the earth. I consecrate the whole of humanity to you: I consecrate to you all human beings, my brothers, all peoples and all nations. I consecrate Europe and all continents to you. I consecrate Rome and Poland to you so that your servant can be united with them in love. O Mother, do not abandon us! O Mother, please accept this consecration! O Mother, please guide us!”

Jesus said, “… and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who preserves to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13)

The aim of offering to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary is help us to love this world with God’s love. Through the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation and the blessings of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we will enter into the life of the Holy Trinity.

The 33-day novena promoted by St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort is a way to help us, in a step-by-step manner, to put our souls completely into the life of God and the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
