“If I but touch his clothes, I will be made well.” (Mark 5:28) This woman is suffering from hemorrhages. According to the Law, she is considered unclean. Also, anyone who is touched by her will become unclean too. However, when she touches the clothes of Jesus, she is made clean and well. Her cure is based on her faith in Christ as well as the power of Jesus Himself. Similarly, when we receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we will also become totally clean. From the parable of the prodigal son, Jesus tells us that Our Father is always waiting for our repentance. When Jesus asks who has touched His clothes, He knows for sure who she is. He only wants to use this opportunity to praise the faith of this woman. Jesus wants to emphasize on our faith. This is because our physical body will eventually deteriorate after it has cured. However, our faith will always help us to renew ourselves.
