Reflection upon Our Parish Patron<br/><br/>

This year we celebrate our Church’s 18th anniversary and it is time to remember the hard work Fr. Tang had dedicated to our parish. He has not only built a beautiful church but also united Catholics from both the Scarborough and Markham communities. Over a thousand parishioners celebrated their baptism sacrament in our church the first year it was built, and it became renowned all over the community. The late Father Chao and Sister Chan, who had serviced our parish, were no doubt Father Tang’s valuable advocates. On the other hand, Father Ruggiero, Father Siu and Sister Feng who has joined the Carmelite Order, have made great contributions to our parish as well. Sister Fok and both Sister Liu’s, who are still working with us, have also given us a lot of support.<br/><br/>

I have accepted the position as your parish’s pastor since August 2002. Gratefully, Fr. Huang from Australia gladly accepted our invitation to be in charge of liturgy, relieving us of the need to find more priests overseeing the liturgy in our parish. Lately, Father Victor and Father Cho have also become great help in facilitating parish ministry.<br/><br/>

Of course, last but not least, our parish will not flourish today without the generous support and collaboration from parish council members, parish group members and secretaries who volunteer to work in our parish.<br/><br/>

Since Jesus Christ is the head of the family in our parish, let us offer to Him this family, our parish.<br/><br/>

At his Golden Anniversary, we wish him good health – and may God shower his blessings upon him.<br/><br/>

Note: We will be making a pilgrimage to Medjugorje on the 18th of this month. If you wish to write a letter to Holy Mary, please drop it off in the mailbox in front of my office. These letters will be given to visionaries who will in turn, submit them to Holy Mary.
