Superficially, what the Holy Family sacrificed according to the laws were merely gifts of the poor.

The true sacrifice is indeed the life of Jesus Himself.

Perhaps we do not have sufficient time or money to support the church, but most importantly, we should always continually live in a spirit of sharing and mutual service.

Jesus once said, there is no love greater than sacrificing your life for a friend. Under normal circumstances, God will never ask us to give up our lives for friends, but instead we are asked to try our best to love one another.

This way of love is what Jesus demonstrated to us, a love that let us unconditionally and proactively live for our fellow human beings.
