"For my yoke is good and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:30) From a human point of view, the burden carried in Jesus' life was not light. As Jesus says his burden is light, the only explanation for it is total for love and obedience towards the Father. "God is love." (1 John 4:8) The incarnation of God's son sent to live in the human world is due to reasons for love. The purpose is to restore the relationship which had been lost due to Adam's sin on his descendants with God. The cause of the original sin is pride. During Jesus' time, the scribes and priests were also prideful and due to this, they asked Pontius Pilate to sentence Jesus to death. The only way towards the path of salvation is to return to the door of humility. Please listen to the Gospel of Luke recorded the dialogue between Jesus and one of the criminals. "One of the criminals hanging with Jesus insulted him, "So you are the Messiah? Save yourself and us as well!" But the other rebuked him, saying, "Have you no fear of God, you who received the same sentence as he did? For us it is just: this is payment for what we have done. But this man has done nothing wrong." And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus replied, "Truly, you will be with me today in paradise."" (Luke 23:39-43) For love, everything is gentle and light. When we implement God's holy will and practice out love, we have already lived in the peace of God. Didn't Jesus pray at Gethsemane in this way? "Father, if it is possible, take this cup away from me." But Jesus added, "Yet not what I want, but what you want." (See Matthew 26:39) On the cross, Jesus grieved to the utmost, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46) However even during his last breath, Jesus remained very calm and peaceful, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." (Luke 27:46) This is the proper attitude to live out our lives: To practice God's Holy will joyfully and always walk with Jesus.
