"Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life." (John 12:25) The final destiny of man who is created in the image of God, is naturally to be united with God. Even though man has sinned and forsaken God, through the Son's death and resurrection ('unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.'), man once again regained life. Jesus let us realize that, in order to obtain the life of God, we still have to work hard; otherwise, we will unknowingly fall into the trap of temptation. Did not Jesus tell Peter: "Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do." (Matthew 16:23) If it is not the will of God, the secular world can also obstruct our path to heaven. Only those who listen to God's word, can we have confidence to walk with Christ, to head toward the kingdom of God. That is the reason why Mother Mary always ponder upon God's word in her heart.
